Maybe we are just not doing something right - can someone explain it to me? Is it that you cant give loot to people that were outside of the group? You could during beta. We allow our members not on raid to get dkp and bid on loot as long as they are available to come on the raid.
So if someone out of the raid wins, we zone them in, award the loot. To avoid people selling loot to people in game? To avoid twinking? It reallly makes no sense. I think the point is to have the people who were in the dungeon get the gear, not some dude standing outside. Why make it easier to grief or have gear selling? Do you realize what a complete hassle it is to tell the guild members, sorry you cant participate in the bidding of loot even though you are here for us?
So what if someone wants to sell loot to others that normally dont raid If I am giving it to my twink, does that matter? This is really a bad thing. Here's the deal. We have about 30 people in our guild. Many of whom have been playing together for almost 12 years. Raids are capped. We can't take everyone. People have to sit out. Now we award points to everyone online and ready to play, and in other games we allow them to bid on loot even if they are not actively in the raid..
They are online and ready to participate but because of the mechanics aren't allowed to Should keeping outside entities from being able to make money off of the game preclude the enjoyment of the subscribers? How do you intend for us to manage a guild that has more members than raids allow? Do you think there is such a thing as a guild that has exactly 20 people online every raid night?
